Jenifer Gelineau currently lives in Holyoke, found in the urban hills of Western Massachusetts. Jenifer has an A.A. and B.A. in Music at Holyoke Community College and UMass Amherst where she had the extreme privilege to study Violin with Mary Lou Speaker Churchill and Elizabeth Chang and Jazz Improvisation with Robert Ferrier, Dave Shapiro, and Adam Kolker. Currently she plays in Phurnne and Egg, Eggs, and various small ensembles or solo.
Jenifer's sound ranges from tonal to atonal, harsh to sweet, chaotic to peaceful, using multiple natural timbres and textures. Her main instrument is the Violin however, lately, she has experimented with Cello, Glass, Music Box, and items that are Bow-Able.
